This is where we put everything that does not fit on a tool page: the step-by-step walkthroughs, the "why is this happening?" explanations, honest comparisons, and a few creative ideas for what to do with a sound once you have it. We write these ourselves and test the steps on real phones before they go live. Think of this page as the TikTok audio blog home: pick a guide or a category below.

What you will find here

Guides are the main event. They take one job, such as saving a sound on an iPhone or turning a video into an MP3, and walk you through it in order. We keep the steps short and tell you what you should see on the screen at each point, so you can tell whether it is working.

Troubleshooting posts cover the moments when something goes wrong. A link that will not load, a file that downloads with no sound, a button that does nothing. Each one starts with the most common cause and works toward the rare ones, so you can stop reading as soon as you are fixed.

Tips are the smaller, more creative pieces: using a sound as a ringtone, trimming it for an edit, finding out who made it, or staying on the right side of copyright when you reuse it.

Start with the basics

How we write

We try to write the way we would explain things to a friend sitting next to us.
